Press Release SS 2019
The earth does not belong to man, it is the man who belongs to the earth
WE LOVE THE WORLD AROUND US
AND WE WANT TO RESPECT IT EVERY DAY
Our desire to combine ethics and business is expressed in the two projects
we firmly believe in and which we have been pursuing over the last few years:
4sustainability (www.4sustainability.it) and
the Detox Implementation Consortium (www.consorziodetox.it).
We are sustainable because with the involvement of the supply chain we implement a control
plan over materials used to reduce chemicals in the manufacturing process
This is not just something the market demands, but a key opportunity for development.
Our Spring – Summer 2019 Collection was developed
based on this stance and without foregoing on research and creativity
SPRING / SUMMER 2019
The Accademia line has always focused on research, the use of fine fibres, lightness, elegance and its
palette of colours.
Everything is calibrated and never over the top.
Femininity is enhanced by the sheer effect of hand crêpe cotton (Voile), glossy and opaque (Voice -
Vita), impalpable viscose (Salomé), sometimes shaded by linen (Dede’- Lety) or with the shiny effect
of silk (Aleida): knitwear turns into thin and yet strong and flexible veils to be used pure or
overlapped, joined or striped.
Sequins have made a comeback and we offer them both on linen and on cotton for 3, 5 and 7 gauges
(Chai - Chopper - Petit - Nuit). The glow of lurex, to be interpreted as a metallic insertion (Luxor 12
-19) or to illuminate cotton and viscose (Notturno - Mirror), is still there and still with a chic feel.
The concept of something raw and grunge is expressed in the printed linens with a tye & dye effect
(Line Imprimé), while the lightness of the padded cottons (Float - Teak - Femme) features a more
The multi coloured and dynamic Industria line is brought to life by twisted, recabled, printed and
irregular yarns. Free rein to imagination, colours, from the primary ones also used in pop contrasts, to
the light dusty pinks and rosy colours leading to orange hues.
Shiny and bright viscose (Kira - Full - Emily - Nancy - Option), viscose that turns into trails of
graduated colours (Scia) printed in irregular lines, almost seemingly dyed incorrectly, with and
without lurex (Masai - Emily).
The RECYCLED logo brings together yarns containing fibres regenerated from coloured cotton.
These are then reworked in yarns of different structures such as chains, recabled yarn, coupled yarn,
yarn twisted with sequins (Match - Grazia - Spotty - Reina)
Each yarn quality is presented with adequate stitches, carefully designed to enhance its silhouette and
encourage constant and new ideas for its application.
